Step Into Our Next Chapter! Your Voice. Your Ideas.
Spring is well underway, and as a season of renewal and fresh beginnings, we felt it was the perfect time to fully introduce Swindon Carers Together (SCT).
Many of you may have previously known carers support as Swindon Carers Centre (SCC). Following the closure of SCC on 31st December 2025, Swindon Carers Together officially launched on 1st January 2026, marking the start of a new chapter in supporting unpaid carers across Swindon.
Like all great things, this transition has taken time. Behind the scenes, our team has been working hard to ensure continuity of support, while also developing and shaping a service that truly meets the needs of carers in their vital roles.
We are also delighted to share an important update within our team. Debbie Murphy-Myers has been appointed as the Operational Lead for Swindon Carers Together (pictured above on the right). After working for SCC for 12 years, Debbie brings a wealth of experience, knowledge, and passion, and we are excited to have her leading the service as we move forward into this new phase.
“I’m incredibly proud to be leading Swindon Carers Together at such an important time. While much has changed, our purpose remains the same: to provide meaningful, accessible, and responsive support that empowers unpaid carers across Swindon.”
As part of developing the new service, Swindon Carers Together will be hosting two town-wide engagement sessions for unpaid carers. These sessions are an opportunity for you to share your experiences, ideas, and feedback, helping to shape what happens next.
Save the date for Wednesday 10th June!
Session 1: 11:00am – 1:00pm
Session 2: 6:00pm – 8:00pm
Further details, including venues and how to register, will be shared soon via our social media channels and newsletter.
We know that carers are at the heart of our community, and your insight is invaluable in helping us build a service that truly reflects your needs. Whether you’ve accessed support before or are new to Swindon Carers Together, we would really welcome your voice.
This is an exciting time for us as we continue to grow and evolve, and we look forward to working alongside you to shape a service that makes a real difference. Together, we can ensure unpaid carers across Swindon feel recognised, supported, and empowered in their caring roles.
